Caught this monster tonight, the only one, just so happened to see him cruzing the bank and he couldnt resist a crawler. Video uploading now. 
New Hybrid Bluegill

That's odd color for a green x bluegill hybrid, but it looks like a green x shellcracker hybrid lots.
i just figured it was a green sunfish cross because of the yellowing of the fins. very nice fish either way.
These also came out of the same pond, some look like a bluegill, some green sunfish and some redear sunfish.
Nice bluegills, much bigger than the ones I catch...but they must love to cross breed because I have caught pumpkinseed x bluegill hybrids, green sunfish x bluegill, and green sunfish x pumpkinseed hybrids at my local pond...very tough little fish too!!!
Nice, but one question, is someone holding a gun to your head to catch those fish? Smile. lol
I still cant get from my local longear sunfish with vertical barring, turquoise squiggles on their face (brain fart of the name) and dark orange or red pelvic and anal fins.
I do wish my bluegill would darken up though. I has dark barring when it wants to.
