Ok I had an accident with a heater and i assume the termostat went on it and cooked some of my fish lucky it was my comunity tank with Terta and ranibows in

Now need new idea its 4 x 1 x 1.5

Any ideas what to do would like planted tank.

I can just throw out what I want. Which is italian val and swords on the back and sides, and some type of grass like drawf or something that gets from 2-8" in the front with water lettuce(don't know if thats real name) on the top. It would mainly be a birchir tank.

I am wondering what fish i could put in there coz its now just a planted tank with no stock

I think they would out grow that size tank .

I would go with ever some Rainbows along with a school of Barbs and Tetras and then maybe some Small catfish .

Or take the plants out and growout some Cichlids and Bichir and then buy a larger tank ( something like a 6x2x2foot ) and then put them in the larger tank . Then use that tank for ever a Fry tank with any of you fish breed or maybe just get 1 or 2 fish for the 4foot tank at a later date , something which will get big but not something which would out grow the tank .

Yeah i might stick with small comunity but i love wierd and wonderfull fish hehehhe

What would be a nice pair or center piece fish go with rainbows and Rosey tetras?

You could do dwarf cichlids like apistogramma or german rams and small tetra. I have a 50 gallon planted I believe same or similar dimensions as you and i have a couple apistos/dwarf cichlids, celestial danio, tetra and otos.

If you decided to do dwarfs, rams are great because they add vibrant color and they are always breeding.

Rams would work too in a planted tank .
