so i was cleaning out my hob aqua clear 50 nd i was wondering if i drill a hole (1"?) under the filter nd connect it with a pvc pipe that lead down into a sump and return with a pump.
so pretty much my aqua clear pumping water into my sump for me.
get it? would this work?

even if somehow you size a pump to push the exact amount of water, youre looking at all kinds of issues.

Running two pumps (one out and one in) is a bad idea... always.
