NEW Indo Datnoid 3"

i just bought this indo. datnoid yesterday and hes super healthy and very curious.This is my first datnoid and i was wondering when should it eat and what? i think im rushing him because the peacock bass i also added to my tank are eating already any tips and info on the datnoid?

Do you know what it was eating before you got it? Try to avoid live if possible, but it is not a good idea to starve young fish. Try bloodworms or cut up nightcrawlers. What are the bass eating? Are they in the Same tank?

try to ask the LFS what they're feeding before u got it.

i asked them they said goldfish feeders sometimes,but mostly bloodworms he said i could feed them market shrimp and night crawlers

yes the bass are in the same tank with 2 pacus that are really fat but are only 1inch bigger then the datnoid.The bass are eating feeders,frozen bloodworms and live im trying to get them on shrimp then carnivore pellets

I would be careful with those pacus. I've had pacus eat an arowana almost twice their size! Has the dat taken any interest in the blood worms?

yes he likes live bloodworms but im trying get him on frozen bloodworms.Hes been eating dead feeders i dont know if thats a good sign but im happy because thats not live food and the datnoid is really aggresive for some reason? He attacks the pacus which are almost twice his size and my gar characin he owns the tank
