New Jack Dempsey

Hey guys! My girlfriend just bought me a beat-up looking Jack Dempsey. We sorta rescued him from a guy that had no room for him. His tail fin are pretty tore up from god know what, and I was wondering if the tore fins will grow back over time. Thanks for the helps!

mine is a female, females have more blue on their face.

Today, the pointed anal and dorsal fins do not permit to sex Jack Dempseys since most females also have the pointed fins. My avatar is a female wich have pointed fins. It is clearer in my tank though.

Yes the fin will grow back.....I had a Festae with its take completely ripped off and with good quality water and some TLC it grew back completely. Just keep the water clean and maybe add stress coat. Enjoy your new Jack !
