New Jag.... A few Q's..

I picked up a new jag two days ago... I believe its a male.. can anyone clarify that.... these were the best pics I could get he hides all day in his cave.... How fast do these guys grow? hes 7".... Hes about the same size as my gt just the gt has more bulk and weight on him... how long should it be before the gt loses the crown... I also want to add my xiloaensis back to my main tank hes about 8" I dont want him bulling the jag.....

Yeah, it's a male. Nice GT too...but the gravel is so bright it takes away from the fish. (not that you asked about your gravel lol, just thought I'd add )

Yeas that's a male. My male jaguar grows about .5-1 inch every month but growth can depend on tank size and water quality.

nice male hes beautiful, i got a mating pair of jags male is 10" female about 7" theyre mean as hellxP

Agree to being male, Jags grow pretty fast Imo till they get around the 8-9" mark. If It was my tank I had to add your xiloaensis back. I would do it now and give your Jag a really nice place to hide, Don't let him get used to the crown if you want to take it away. As stated It looks male so he will eventually end up in charge providing they don't kill each other first.
As for the Gt hes really pretty But I have no idea what he will do. He may just become a middle man trying to keep peace or try to rule its really anyone's guess
