i just got a 1 inch jag, impulse buy of course.its currently with my breeding cons and seems to be holding its own.i plan on puting it with my oscars when its a little bigger(2-3 inches).ill get some pics up when i take them within the next week.

Jags are cool. A lot of personality, but can be pretty aggressive too.

no kidding mine is already bossing around my brothers sunfish and all his loaches.hes taken the other half of the 30 gal. over and i got him yesterday!

Lol better be careful if you like them oscars. My cousins thought it was a good idea to put their 5 inch jag with a pair of breeding oscars that were 9"+ each in a 30 gallon tank. (Yeah, I know, told them to get a much much bigger tank like 150 gallons.) And the jag punked them both until they did nothing but huddle in one corner o the tank beaten half to death. It was the funniest thing I seen, lol.

Im suprised they'd even breed in a 30G. In the end, did it make him relise that he needs a larger tank?

but yeah he will grow in no time

I haven't been over for a while, and they're H-Core Asians so I doubt that they got a bigger tank for the fish. Probably sold them off or something. That jag was a little demon though man, he lip locked with the oscar that was easily 3 times his weight and pushed it back into the corner of the tank several times. I was very very surprised, lol, I'm not one to underestimate jags cause I've had some myself, but that one was insane, lol. Probably cause of the tank size though. I was surprised that the oscar couldn't just eat the jag, lol. They also had a pretty big pleco in there too, around 8". It's fins were shredded by that little jag. Jags kick arse.:headbang2

I want to get another one . . . sold all my last jags cause they outgrew my little tank in less than 4 months. (30 gallon. :WHOA:) But now I have a 55 and am in the process of constructing a 650 gallon pond with a green house canopy so that it doesn't get too cold during the winter in Cali. Also be placing a heater in the filter area so the water will be at least a bit warm, entering the pond.)

Stick some powerheads in with a heater 2 feet away from the output. Helps heat the pond easier than just heating the water on entry.
