well i got him last week. he is about three inchs long and seemed in great health when i got him and he still super active and healthy. but since i have got him he won't eat anything. i went back to the store and asked them what they were feeding him and the said dried krill. so i've been trying that twice a day(breaking up the krill so it can eat them). then i've tried pellets, blood worms, and even minows. it won't even chase the minows he will just swim with them like there friends. anyone have any insight or same thing happen? thanks in advance!

try freeze dried bloodworms or crickets if you can buy them. They rarely resist crickets. Never feed live foods again unless absolutely necessary.

keep trying the krill and blood worms, it may just take a few days for it to get used to the new tank.

O yea, forgot about that part, Bderick67 is right, if its new, it might still be getting used to your tank, thus not taking food.

the new tank could be it i'm going to try the cricket(s) tonight, and just keep an eye out for him to see if he starts acting funny

you tried guppies mines would take guppies but not rosys or feeder goldfish

No more live foods before you get yourself into even more trouble...

just a question why shouldn't i get him on a routine of feeders? i was going to feed him jumbo krill and if he would take some kind of pellets or even shrimp, and every once in a while when i want some action get him some feeders.

Becuase feeders are usually parasite infested. Feeders have no nutritional value. And feeders have some acid that eats away at vital vitamins when the aro is digesting. And there is no need to feed them period.
