New Kelberi's skittish...

I just got 3 (3.5"+) Kelberi Peacock Bass yesterday. Today they are real skittish and swim to the other end of the tank when they see me. Is this normal? I got a good deal on them through Bluegrass Aquatics for $120 each plus free shipping (except for the extra $15 for Saturday delivery). They are not the Bahia variant though.

They need to have some hiding place. Add some driftwood and plastic plants. Small or bare tanks are especially stressful for them. Please share pics when available.

Mine did the same thing. Once they equate you with food they will chill. My monos were exact opposite. They new that I equaled food. But if I walk in the room fast the kels still freak. Monos never do. Nothing ever bothers them.

I have a Mono roughly the same size and I was hoping it would be a good teacher for them since it eats great. They started schooling together today after the Mono was nipping at all the Kelberi's maybe just trying to establish a pecking order or something. They all get along now though!
