And I have a question. I have four senegal bichirs, two albinos, and two natural. What is the lifespan of these guys? They are all in the 3-4 inch range right now. I'll post some pics in the showoff thread up top.

Oh, and I've had the albinos about a month, the naturals were purchased yesterday. Got them at petsmart up here in Detroit for only $5.99 each. I was ecstatic when the wife told me they were available. Nobody else I've been to has had them except for my LFS that specializes in Cichlids and a few live plants (which is where I picked up my baby albinos.).
Yes the average lifespan is roughly 15-20 years.Senegals are great first bichirs I'm sure you'll enjoy them -Anne
