Hey guys. I just got this guy yesterday from Thailand:

His head was noticeably bigger before he made the trip to the States, but I'm sure it will show back up soon. He is about 2.5 inches.

Thanks for looking!

As far as I know most kamfa mature slowly so that small head is not a big deal at all. I think its quite excellent. Beautiful fins and pearls. Looks to have a nice deep red base color too.

Yeah, I read that about Kamfas. Thanks for the comments!

Nice pick up! That's gonna be a nice fish. How's he settling in?

Thanks! He has settled nicely. Very active. He is in a 125 gallon all by himself (other than some platies I used to keep the tank cycled after I sold all the other fish). He has been eating bloodworms like crazy. He tried Ching Mix, but I think he decided the pellets are too hard, so he spat it out. I am going to try soaking some before I put them in the tank and see if that works.

Nice! I'd worry about him spitting food though. I just lost a kk to ip's and he withered fast. Yours has SO much potential. I really hope he starts smashing the pellets soon if he hasnt already. Keep the updates coming on him.

He has a huge appetite for bloodworms. He's just not showing much interest for pellets. I was going to try and starve him, but I decided it is a better idea until I get some more size on him. I'll get some frozen shrimp soon and try that. Just to err on the side of caution, I will probably go through a deworming treatment with him. I discovered yesterday that he and the few platies in the tank have ich. I've started treatment with heat and salt, and it is going away.
