Hi all,
I was in one of my LFS earlier and stumbled accross an oddball knife. They had the usual clown, BGK and african brown but then i noticed this fellow. I thought 'what the hey' and bought it without knowing exactally what it was. The chap in there said it was a BGK to which i laughed and said it most definatley isn't, look in your other tank....

He conceeded and wasn't sure so i said how much and bought it.

Here it is in my tank;

Now having gone through the sticky above, i think it is a apteronotus leptorhynchus but does anyone have any more infomation about them?

I should emphasis that this is a bad pic and it is being terribly antisocial. It is very brown and the snout is much more elongated compated to a BGK.

Cheers.

For me it is a rock and a plant.

Looks like apteronotus leptorhynchus from the pic, but it's bad so can't be sure. Just search for brown ghost knife in the forum and you'll pull up plenty of info.

apologies for the crap pic, but as i said, it's certainly VERY antisocial.

I'm almost certain it's a chocolate/brown ghost knife fish due to the white stripe from nose to tail but the elongated nose was quite peturbing at the time. I'll do a better pic when i can. It's a very interesting fish, eitherway!

Looks like a Brown Ghost Knife from what I can see.
