just picked up a 5" knife for $7.00. good deal, or going price? but anyway, im keeping it in my 30 with the baby convicts. have yet to see a population drop. any basic advice for healthy keeping? whats the best way to speed up growth to move it into main tank? pics soon:headbang2

grats on your new knife, post some pics for sure. how big are those convicts?

id try to get it on a solid diet of nonlive but otherwise im sure itll grow fast and soon be time for a new tank ;)

It's not a bad price depending on what kind of Knife you got. Give it some time to adjust and it'll start eating. A variety is the best diet, CKs can grow at a pretty good rate so don't worry too much about speed up it's growth. But it really depends on the Knife as well. BGKs grow fairly slow.

yea i was wondering what KIND of knife u have too. im thinkin clownknife.. i doubt rck would go that cheap at that size. nor a bgk.. i guess depends where your at.

maybe abk?

lol curious for apic ;)

ok, went to aquatic warehouse here in diego and was advised that feeders are not the best for my knife. bloodworms, silversides and other frozens are better. what is the best, healthiest way, to switch him over? the lfs i got him from was feeding rosies, and guppies. they suggested to continue

what kind of knife?

without that info, all suggestions may be useless

that would help. feeder arent bad man its the TYPE of feeder u have to watch .. in the wild they hunt. and they dont eat everyday either ;)
