Woohoo finally founded a rare knifefish. I bought this which was sold as a banded knifefish for 70. River Wonders in LA is great for amazon wholesale btw. Just want an opinion is it banded, zebra or some other knifefish. I m so happy hehe im naming him scorponok, as im a HUGE transformer fan. pics below..mike c

That is one beautiful knife!
Congrats on finding him. How big is it? I has been looking for an Ossa knife, but haven't had any luck so far.

Gorgeous fish man.

it's a Carapo sp. weather you call it a zebra, banded, striped or tiger knife is up to you.

They tend to be just names made up by the exporters.

A Carapo species.. That is a very nice variant, with the definate lines it could be a few different species.. Most call them 'Flash Zebra' knifefish when they have that nice pattern.

very cool carapo ;)
