My two week old lap had his eye poked out by my flowerhorn(he is gone in another tank now will drop him off at the petstore) what can I do to help my lap. It doesn't seem in any pain but I am sure there is some from having ur eye taken out. He was fine earlier then I was checken my fish out and noticed this. Man I am pissed

Sorry to hear that your lap lost it's eye. Such a bummer. Just make sure the water is clean and it will heal over in no time. I have seen lots of fish loose eyes and though the initial shock might be painful I don't think they have any long term pain associated with it or at least they don't show it.

It will depends on how bad is the injuries, one of my endli went through similar accident but really dunno what caused it, but the wound still manage to heal it self, I would use salt and raise the temperature, frequent water chance, also quarantine the lap till the wound heals.

Dam man that sucks, i would put him in a quarantine tank alone and let him heal and get all better and then put him back in the tank.

I feel so bad I pick it up cause it was not doing well in the pet store. Thought I would give it a better chance at life in my tank and this happens. Maybe it was better off at the petstore. I have a feeling my flowerhorn was getting reveng for it biting half its tail off
