New LED light

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been intrigued by those LED fixtures with the "programs" like lightning storm and cloudy day, but I dunno...seems like it would stress the fish out. Plus I'd imagine it's annoying in your living room to have that light show going on in the background/corner of your eye. :p

Definitely a neat concept, though! And very nice to be able to customize the color of the light to what best displays your fish. I was considering one of these Current Satellite fixtures when I was LED shopping, but I had the bright idea that I wanted to grow plants, so I went with a really powerful Beamswork light without all the fancy lighting colors or programs...just 6500k. I kind of wish I had the options & programs now, but oh well. The decision was made and I'll live with it.

That's is pretty freaken cool. Does the packaging say anything about any science put into it?

Nice tank too. What is currently in it?

I thought that as well, that it would stress them out. But the fish don't seem to even notice. Maybe if they were more skittish fish it might be an issue.

Yeah I love it. Haven't read the instructions fully so not sure about the science behind it.
Currently I have 5 rosy tetra, 3 rasbora, bristlenose, Bolivian Ram and 2 Geophagus (soon to be 6)
