Hello,
I just got a 1 yr old leopard gecko from the reptile expo at the fairplex on sunday and the company i got him from told me to use Vionate Powder in the meal worm dish, now I am fine with this but just wanted to know if anyone else used this product or knows of another product that would work just the same but maybe isn't so expensive. I also have him on calcium w/ D3. Any info will help since this is my first leo.

I've never heard of Vionate Powder but if you just dust the food before you feed it to your leopard gecko it will be just fine. And I've never kept a dish of calcium powder in with my leopard geckos and they've been doing just fine for the last 18 years without it.

yeah i was a little stumped about why to put the dish of calcium since I NEVER see him lick it or even want anything to do with it. I did dust the worms today with the calcium and he ate them right up...thanks for the info I will probably just stick to the calcium and dusting then since that seems to work just fine.

i just place calcium in there food bowl so when they eat the powder sticks to the food .

Mine actually licks calcium dust from a bowl all the time and did you mean vitamin powder? Cause I've never heard of vionate powder

use reptocal, its the best of the best for calcium and vitamin supplements. i give mine calcium in a dish, she licks it too.
