I have this little one at the pet store I work at. From my research it's a raptor, correct me if I'm wrong. I can get it for $29.99.

What do you all think? Should I get it? Healthy, eating well.

Well if you like geckos then sure. I would keep it off of sand though. A 20 gallon long aquarium will suit it nicely.

Sand is perfectly fine. Just use washed playsand or a bio active soil setup

If you want any certainty of safety; don't use sand; at least not when its in a juvenile stage.

You can do that later, when personally assured that it'll do fine.

Calci-sand works well for them. I have kept literally hundreds of them (including neonates) on sand without a single incident at the shop I work for.

Why are you asking our permission though? if you are able to and want to then go for it man.

On calci sand? Why not playsand though? cheaper, and its generally safer. Better yet dirt.

the only ones I keep are for sale in a reptile shop so we use what we sell and always recommend what we sell. I'd get crucified if I suggested someone go and get a bag of cypress mulch from Lowes instead of telling someone to buy our forest floor bedding. Same with sand.
