so... i'm new to saltwater and i just bought a leopard wrasse, the guy said they are hardy, will eat mysis and krill. now, i got home and did some reading and apparently they are very picky eaters and should be kept in a reef tank for a good supply of food. anyone have any suggestions or should i tank it back and get my $ back before it dies?

id give it a try and be paitient the wrasse will probably learn to eat frozen foods such as krill and mysis most of the wrasse's ive had were easy to keep and can live a long time if conditions are good... mabey he will kill snails and small crabs so keep that in mind but a fish only system should be just fine good luck

im sorry i just have to say this...

come on.. researching a purchase before hand is fishkeeping 101...

ok no more flaming...

for NOW you're going to want to get some brine shrimp eggs ASAP, they take about a day or two to hatch so time is of the essence.. unless you can find/buy some live pods somewhere...

try and feeding frozen foods.. with any luck...

of course there is always returning the fish, which i advise above all others.. there will be other chances to purchase one in the future if you still want one
