Good day fellow Aro Fanatics!

i was just wondering if anyone has used/currently uses new life spectrum arowana pellet food for their aro.

i saw this at my LFS a couple days ago the label said it was rich in some vitamins, i couldnt recall which but supposedly enhances colour of the fish. i'm looking for reviews online but currently cannot find any detailed reviews or experiences. i was wondering if you guys have used it before, if you have, does it work, how good is it for your fish? TIA

i currently rotate my fish's diet between hikari frozen blood worms, hikari frozen krill, live crickets that have been gut loaded with commercial cricket food, once in a while live meal worms, and most recently hikari large carnivore food sticks (the one that has the picture of a gold arowana)

If it's from NLS, you can rest assure that it's good pellet..
If your arowana eats pellets, then you should get the NLS aro pellets..

I use it. It takes a while for Aros to accept it because its a lot harder than your usual pellet.

I use the NLS floating Ex.Lg fish formula exclusively for my aro. My aro takes it just as eagerly as he would krill (Hikari brand, but I don't offer him the krill anymore)! He smashes the pellet like there is no tommorow, many times splashing water all over the place... Good growth, color, no drop eye, and just great results. I used to use Hikari gold and Hikari food sticks for my aro's and I haven't had the best results with Hikari for aro's in the long run IMPE. I have fed the aro that I have now on Hikari when he was younger because that is what the LFS trained him on but sinced I changed to NLS he has shown greater improvment. He would never smash the hikari pellets with that much entusiasm! . I also never had to train him on NLS either as he took to them right away. Well to be honest though this particular arowanna will eat just about anything...

lol thanks for the response guys, i'll try to switch them over to NLS then. my aros were fed hikari frozen blood worms from the LFS when i took them home i changed their diet to a rotation between krill and blood worms, after i did some research here i decided to go introduce pellets to them so i got the hikari as it was the same brand as the food i was using and i was getting good results. they readily took the pellets but now they want to exclusively eat pellets. they refuse blood worms, krill, even refused the crickets. i have some strange fish.

that is strange...hey watever floats their boat though right.

That's really strange!? An aro that would rather eat pellets than bloodworms, krill, and especially crickets!!! I would say you got lucky?
