I bought a 5lb bucket of this stuff on ebay for $44 and it arrived in the mail today. I have always fed the regular 5lb for cichlids I didn't even know NLS made food this big or I would have been feeding it a long time ago. Has anybody ever tried this stuff?

I was given a tub of this stuff a couple of months ago by a very generous wholesaler in exchange for feedback. (Thanks, Neil! ;))

Most of my bigger fish eat it eagerly. It's a very hard pellet, so mid size fish who would normally grind up bigger pellets may not take to this one.

i have that stuff for my fish. My EBJD like it.

I see them all over in my LFS. Works as good as any NLS out there, no difference. Gets a little tougher on the side compare to the smaller NLS sizes where it just breaks right away. :D

Gerry, you crazy Canuck - that was the 10mm Mega Fish formula that you have been using. The OP is referring to the 7.5mm (floating) Extra Large Fish formula. :D

NLS makes pellets from 150 micron, to 10mm.

My fish love it, it's high in protine.

Alright well since I couldn't find any good pictures or info about the food online I decided to take some pictures of the containers. I am comparing "NLS Jumbo Fish Formula 4.5mm" with "NLS EX LG Fish Formula 7.5mm"The only difference I noticed in the ingredients is that the larger pellet has 1% higher protein level, and the ash content says 9% compared to .9% in the smaller formula. Misprint? I don't know..
