Is there any difference between different types of NLS?

I just bought a container of Cichlasoma formula and noticed that it has the exact ingredients listed as their large fish formula.

Do they just package the same product differently to get us to buy more?

Also, this is not a rant against NLS, I love their product but I am curious if all I need is one type if they are all the same.

They might use different amounts of each ingredient. I don't think they would sell the same product as different ones, why waste the money if people would buy it anyways

I have heard that each one if made specifically for what it's packaged under, but I could see how they could possibly use the same for it all, as some NLS is more expensive I have noticed; The cichlasoma is the most expensive formula at my pet store for $16.

They are all basically the same and vary slightly with the amount of protein and fat in each formula. The main thing to look at is choosing the appropriate size pellet. Ask RD if you have an NLS question in the future as he can answer better than any other MFK member.

All ingredients used in NLS are fairly identical, but the ingredient proportions are different in a number of the formulas.
Just for the record, I feed the Large Fish formula to my "cichlasoma". :)

No problem, glad to help.

Clockwork summed it up best, with a food such as NLS the most important thing is choosing the most appropriate sized pellet for your fish.
