Okay so first off, where I live in ohio nobody carries NLS so I was looking online and wasnt going to pay the prices of it, especially not knowing if my fish would even like it. However I had to fly with my gpa to take him back to florida "both of our first time flying" anyways my cousin told me about this fish store thats real close and its right on the way home from his school so last friday after my aunt and I dropped him off at school we went there its called tanksalot. now ive never seen a saltwater tank in person and really close up and all I have to say is WOW amazing! and whoever has a S.W. is lucky :p, anyways so I walk over to the food isle and boom I see some. Well I bought two containers of it. There both THERA + A, but one of them is color enhancing 3mm sinking pellets + garlic and the other is Non-Medicated Anti-Parasitic Formula. My ? is whats the difference between the two and does the one really enhance your fishes color better than any other food like Hikari?

Having fed both NLS and Hikari...I say my fish likes Freeze dry stuff best, then the massavores and then NLS and hikari pellets.

Okay thanks for the link but I just want to know what the differences are between the two types of NLS I bought

Thera has slightly more protein and fat and more garlic. It is good for feeding newly introduced fish, fish that are being treated or recovering from disease, or to condition fish for breeding. The other is the standard pellet for everyday feeding.
With NLS, you need to be careful about feeding the correct pellet size. Since the pellets are so dense, you are going to get a lot of waste in your water if your fish have to "chew" pellets that are too big for them. I'd go 1mm for fish up to 5-6", 2mm for fish up to 11-12", and 3mm after that.

I can't reference the site as it is under repair, but I'm pretty sure that there is only one version of the 3mmThera A forumla. So it is most likely a labeling issue. Do the containers have expiration dates on them? If not, they could be two different batches that were mixed together and have just been sitting on the shelf for a while.

Other than that, I would have to ask you to verify that they are both in fact Thera A.

There is only one version of the 3mm TherA.

I believe that "Non-Medicated Anti-Parasitic " was removed from the label a year or so ago due to some overseas regulation.
Both foods are exactly the same.
