New life spectrum vs omega one

Every nile tilapia I have kept grew extremely fast on anything. That being said I just finished a NLS test and was thoroughly disappointed in it by the end of it.

I've used both and like both, but if you want just growth without regard to quality nutrition just use something like AquaMax.

I'm on my first batch of NLS. I really think its going to be my last batch. My fish aren't fans of it. They liked hikari but it stunk up the water too much. I'm not sure what I'll try next though. Good luck with the breeding.

Agreed. A high protein, high fat, commercial trout chow will give you your best gains in growth, and is dirt cheap if you buy in bulk. Not a great idea if overall health & longevity is a concern, which in the case of feeders it won't be.

+1 to the chow people. Its cheap and if you actually are going to raise them up to good size for feeders its prolly your best bang for buck.

As far as the NLS goes - sometimes it takes time to get fish onto it. But once on, they really love it.

I wouldn't use it to raise feeders either, but I would use it to gut load them prior to feeding the gar.
