On recommendation from folks on this board, I broke down and ordered some 1mm New Life pellets for my Africans. I had to do it through the mail since none of the LFSs around here stock. This stuff does not disappoint. Its like crack to these guys. They go totally nuts over it. Its actually chilled the mood of the tank a bunch too. Not as much chasing, much more relaxed grazing.

The stuff sinks pretty fast though, which I didn't expect. It also stays intact, so I don't get a lot of micro pieces floating around to feed my fry living in the tank. Will my fry still find food, or should I break some up for them?

They will find the leftovers. Your fish will undoubtedly spit out some crumbs.

i buy 3mm spectrum by the bucket. the fish seem to love it.

I also love NlS all my fry get grow and BB brine shrimp I use the 1mm pellets as a staple and use HBH super soft Spiralina on occasion. I have used the Thera A but it does make your tanks smell like garlic after awhile so I only feed that if some fish are showing signs of stress for some reason.

Thera A works great for stressed fish
