New Lima

Great pick up. Always liked their duckbill mouth.

Here he is in his temporary home. One of my 40B sumps is sectioned in half and fed by one of the return pumps. I'll keep him in here until I am sure he's eating before moving him up top.

The Lima look good in there. Although I suspect some of ur fish may end up missing. Those tetras maybe the first to go. Keep an eye out when u make the move.

I knew the tetras would eventually become a snack. At least the Lima will be well fed. Lol.

I had to move him up to the display already. He was very skittish in the sump and kept smashing into the glass. I was worried he'd damage his nose. He seems a lot more calm now. He's even gone into the Lima nose stand.

Each night before lights out I drop some catfish pellets or an earthworm right in front of him but haven't actually seen him eat anything yet.

This morning I woke up to this little chunky belly.

Any tips on getting this guy to eat things other than my tetras? I can drop an earthworm or catfish pellets in front of his nose and he won't touch them. But every couple days he has a fat belly and I'm missing a tetra.

remove the tetras. No way to break a fish of live food if he has it available to him.
