hi, just set up a loach tank, 75G right now, with 6 little clowns in there, and some tiger barbs, that was all, until i found a tiger loach, there pretty rare around here so i had to get it. Its doing fine so far with the clowns, little chasing is all so far, ive read and seen people keep clowns with tigers before, but i just wanted some opinions of some loach experts. do you think the tiger will get way to agressive, should i move him or keep him, as i said, everything is fine right now.

75 gallon with lots of driftwood, rocks, plants and very very low lighting

heres a tank pic

It may work, it may not. I think that the Tiger Loach will be too aggressive for the Clowns. You may find that you Clowns never come out and are always in hiding.

yeah, i was thinking about moving the tiger, but, there not having any problems, they even will lay around with the tiger, anyway, anyone else have a tiger or tigers with there clowns, ????????

Anyone??? I see pics online of them together someone must have tried

I have 4 clowns, 1 yoyo, 1 zebra, 1 polka dot and 2 tiger botias like the pic i have in this message. I couldn't tell from your pic if we are talking about the same fish. They're in a 200g and the tigers don't mess with the clowns unless it is feeding time and it is more just because of the frenzy. The tigers hide out until is time to eat. What I have noticed is strong tiger v. tiger aggression (they absolutely hate each other and stay on separate sides of the tank). The biggest aggressor out of the bunch is the crazy yoyo and its not that often. For me, so far so good. Give it a try. Good luck!

I don't advocate combining tigers with clown loaches. The latter are far too passive to tolerate the tiger's aggressive tendencies. They should NOT be combined in general. A 75g will not permit it.
