Is that difference better or worse.
Will be giving another shot soon once I get more driftwood.

Looks a bit plain/dirty. Add more driftwood, pile it up, or spread out nicely whichever you prefer. But the plants looks like you placed them randomly, try grouping a few of them together so it has a more natural look.

More driftwood will be added along with different gravel and more of it so plant have some where to anchor.
Dirty because the release of tannins and was being messed with.

what kind of plants are those and what kind of light?

The lighting is a shoplight with 2 40 watt bulbs.
Plants are amazon swordtails and anarcharies.Spelling.

Looks good now...It will look 10 times better when those plants are growing good.

Thanks will look better once more driftwood is added and I find the right place for the plants. Possibly getting more plants this weekend.
Maybe ordering a delhezi bichir to go into the group
