Just picked this guy up from a friend. He's a little beat up, but otherwise healthy and very spunky! I'm really hoping he's fertile.

Looks like amphilophus X parachromis to me. I used to have one with the same color and shape.

he looks a lot better now that he has settled in. I wouldn't even know where to guess
what kind of hybrid he is. Very beautiful though.

Nice, but I do kind of agree that it is something else besides a FH. Still a great hybrid...
