New managuense gave to me

Got one of these gave to me today about 5 inches nice color looks like a freddys. Couple questions I put the fish in a qt tank 55 gallon. Still getting use to it but I will get pics in the next couple days. Im wondering how do you tell male from female and where would I be able to pick up a partner for it. I was told the fish is very mean but seems peacefull to me. I have 2 large fronts a jack dempsy a small red devil and a bumble bee in my 220 and was wondering if he would be a fin nipper or worse kill one?

It depends on the fonny if they're aggressive or not, i have about 12 of them in one tank without any problems however i gave some to my friend and for some reason they started fighting amongst each other in his tank. But they are known to be peaceful the males probably fight each other for power. Generally you can tell by the hump but some females also has humps. So check with the finage x)
