Fri I picked up 10" male marble. I got him in the tank around 9pm. He spent most of the day yesterday under slthe sand coming out occasionally. Today he's checking things out bye shows no signs of disc curl, but his tail seems to raise upwards now and then and sometimes he raises up keeping his disc edge down but like he has a large air pocket under him.

240g tank, lights off, less than 20ppm nitrates, temp is 78-80. He nibbled on And ate some earthworms yesterday. I'm headed now to get earthworms and blackworms and some more frozen foods.

What was your acclimation process? drip? dump? float?

Got a video?

Will be waiting for your photos/video, really want to see your new fish! I hope it 'shapes-up' and everything turns out great for you and your fish, Good Luck!:D

I'm using pfs. I didn't think about that, I think he was bb at the store and was imPorted from fl which leads me to believe he was wc. I have a female about the same size in w him and she's fine. She's smears been very healthy and active. Now that you ask about sand, I recall that some sands and I believe pfs is one that will stick to rays more than other sands.

He's back in the sand. He ate black worms a couple pieces of earthworms. He's was in the sand and moved around ok going after the food.

he may just be getting use to the change. Give it a few days. Im sure he will be fine.
