As long as all the ornaments are saltwater safe, its cool....However, i'd get rid of the bubbler, as this will cause a large ammount of salt creep, thus quickly ( quicker than normal ) lower your salinity as the bubbles pop on the surface.

i just thourght it would be different than the average coral and live rock good point with the bubbler i didnt think of that

Decorations and what not are purely up to you man. Like stated, so long as its SW safe its all good, which normally means it cant be composed of or contain any toxic metals, or leach silicates, phosphates, or be soluble to toxic metals, silicates, and phospates.

In place of the the bubbler, you could do a small submersable led fixture with your choice of color and have light coming out of the decoration. I think a dark color would give it an eary look.

You can also do a fowlr/macro tank. They actually look pretty neat and you can get away with powerheads only, no other means of filtration, but I think that is for the more advanced salty. Its the planted tank of the saltwater world, and gives a very natural look, along with allowing you to get rid of the cheasy actinic bulbs.

Problem with submersible lights is that they will cover with algea quickly.
I think if its a low enough intensity and in a spectrum not benificial to algae growth, I think it would be fine.

He means RAISE your salinity...

That being said I dont think it would be too hard to keep the leds clean...scrub them once a week even IF algae is growing on them. How much time would that take...5 min?

i like the idea of the leds submerged in the ornaments i allso like the idea of only using power heads as the only filterasion im not a newbie ive got quite a few salt water aquariums set up so i might try that
thanks for the posts

ive set up a nother strange saltwater aquarium its a 30 litre with a large ship wrech ornament in the middle a star fish ornament that is green and a red and white plant and a purple plant with a mix of coral gravel and jet red gravel it gives a realy cool effect i have 2 small clowns its filtered by 2 hob filters i decided to miss the skimmer as i do 50% water changes weekly and i have the filterasion
