I have been running this filter for 3 months now. I have no issues. I have it on my Brackish tank. It works great. I am getting 2 more.

I just got mine this week and will fire it up today when I have my UV hooked up to it. I heard this thing is louder than a XP3. Do you noticed it being loud? Another thing is the color of the filter is more of a silver brown rather than bright silver like in the picture. Other than that the filter construction looks rugged without the price tag of Eheim.

BTW, do you use bio balls and the carbon that came with it? I took these out and filled three trays with ceramic rings.

I got it hooked up and totally not impress and I like Marineland products, too. The hose that came with the filter are not flexible enough to work with. It's really stiff hose that shouldn't be use for fish filter. What were they thinking at Marineland when they supply these hoses?:irked: The quick release latch is retarded as well. There are two levers and one is a called key to lock it and the second lever is suppose to keep the first lever in place. I cannot figure what's the purpose of this design. The instructions said to push 2x on the prime button but I had to press like 15x to get it to work. Once it started pumping it was making a whirling noise like taking rubber and rubbing it against a metal surface. I will be calling Marineland tomorrow to see if they can get me a new motor. Spent three hours setting this up and the end result is one pissed off canister user.:nilly::irked::angryfire Only good thing about this is that it shoots water out really hard but unfortunately it cannot be quiet like an XP3.

What size tank is it on, and what the stocking of the tank? Is it the only filter?

Problem solved!!!! It was the XP3 spraybar that was causing the noise. I guess the water were gushing out too quick that it was blowing noise as it passes thru the XP3 spraybar. It's like having an unwater flute or recorder. Keep in mind the Marineland C360 does not come with spraybar. I will make the XP3 holes bigger and retest later.
