Hey MonsterFishKeepers, My name is Matt, im 21 years old and live in Kingston, Ontario Canada. I have decided to join the site. I'm used to lurking here for information for the past couple years; I figure i'd join now that I have a monster of my own.
I just recently acquired a Jaguar Cichlid and a Plecostomous. I dont know the sex of my Jaguar Cichlid. It seems to have aspects of both male and female from the pictures i have been googling. The guy i got her off of said she was a she but then later said he wasint really sure because he had only had her a couple months. She/He is almost 10" long. She/he is a pig! eats everything. Those large black dots down the body seem darker in the pictures but actually are much lighter, more consistent with the spots on of the rest of the body. Ive had her/him for about a week now and after the first two days he/she really came out of her hiding spot and now is begging everyone for food all the time
Tank setup is a 125 gallon long. 1.5 feet wide, 6 feet long, 2 feet tall. 2 AC 110's and a 300 watt heater.
