I'm new to this forum, and only moderately experienced in fish care (I would venture to say I'd be classified as a beginner). I owned fish as a child and early teen. Unfortunately, I didn't know much about them back then. I've been doing a bit of research as I'm anticipating getting a tank sometime in the near future. I figured I would join this forum in order to gain some knowledge from those more experienced than me.
I'm a 24 year old female from the frigid state of Maine. I'm currently studying for my PhD in Literature, and I work as a receptionist on the side. I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, and caring for animals. I'm currently owned by three rescue cats, as well as one incredibly intelligent (and spoiled) parrot named Chubby. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here, I hope you don't mind all the newbie questions I may ask!
