Indianapolis In
Hello I have been enjoying the site for sometime now and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Fred and I have been growing my Cichlid hobby for about 4 months now. I grew quickly thanks to the help of some really nice people in the Indy area. Mike, Bobbie and Daniel from the Indy Chapter of MWC have been very helpful.

I currently have almost a 1000 gallons of water in various tanks around my house. The largest is a 175 gal. I also have a 110 gal tall, 4 75 gals, 5 55 gals, and about 20 smaller tanks for fry and growing out babies. Like I said I grew fast. My whole basement consisting of 3 rooms about 12 x 10 each is full of tanks.

Right now I am mostly breeding Peacocks just to get myself use to the hobby but I must say I am producing some real nice babies. I will have a number of red emps and ngara flametails for sale in the near future. My intention is to move to more Tanganyikas and wild caught as I get more experienced.

Any advice or assistance would be appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from all of you.:screwy:

Always great to have another Hoosier on board!! Welcome! If you know Mike and Bobby you pretty much know me:) I'm basically like them only I have fewer African Cichlids and a higher BAC.

Welcome fcampbel,

Looks like you have hooked up with Indy's finest. If they do not know the answer, you must have a really tough question. Does everyone in Indy start out with 1,000 gallons? In the Panhandle of Florida we are surrounded by water. Rivers, Lakes, Bays and Bayous then just over the bridge you find the GULF of Mexico. Everywhere we look, everywhere we walk, we have access to water.

Welcome to Monsterfish.com. Where there are 1,000's of people coming together at any one time. Post pictures, (we all love Pictures).

Welcome Fred, Just saw this post and had to say hi. I guess I'm going to have to make it over and check out the fish rooms.
