Just as the title says i am new here but it seems like there are some very knowledgeable people here!! the picture is of my 120 which has only been set up for a week and is a work in progress. i am thinking about breeding some kind of plecos. Originally i wanted to do rhino plecos but i have read they wont reproduce in a aquarium, but will in a pond. Well i live in Ohio and a pond is kind of out of question this time of year but it might be something i look into in the future. I am mainly looking for ideas on what plecos i should breed, i have never breed plecos but i have breed cichlids. i currently have 3 tanks, one is a 120 tall tank that is my cichlid tank, a 30 gallon bow front which i am using for the cichlid fry as of now, and a 75 gallon that is sitting empty that i was going to make the pleco tank or i might use the 30 gallon if i could. shoot me some ideas on which tank i should use and what u recommend of plecos i should breed.
I will be honest i am going to start with something easier to breed, so not the rhino, but i dont want to do bushy nose or regular Jacks aquarium plecos either. so think plecos that are a little different than the ones at pet stores but arent going to break the bank for starting my little experiment. ( i would love to buy the zebras and what not but the wife wont go for it so i am not going to let my fish tanks cause a divorce LOL)
Thanks in advance!!! IMG_0731.JPG

I know you said you didn't want to, but I'd start with BN. Easy to spawn and easy to sell. Get a little more experience and see if you enjoy it, and spend some time researching more and finding out what you'd like to try next.

L333 and L066's are pretty easy to breed and not terribly expensive. But honestly I agree with aclockworkorange about the bn's. If you look on aquabid there are some really cool varieties of them. Like the super red's and blue eyed albino's. That's where I would start. I'd get a trio (2F 1M)

i would have to agree start with some basic east to breed then go for what you want to breed and try not to sit in front of the tank for too long
