So I bought some pike's from a buddy of mine a while back. They were sold to him as Crenicichla Geayi. However I have my doubts. I could be wrong. Not that knowledgeable on pikes. I tend to love west africa, tanganyika and malawi cichlids. These pikes have grown on me and are amazingly beautiful. Want to know if they are going to be tankbusters. Please help me ID them.kids and pike 008.JPGkids and pike 009.JPG

Vennies and they will be big boys.

Exactly what I was gonna say thin broken lines on the side spots on the head and the gold on the eye of the tail lol, Awesome fish but a bit aggressive

I appreciate all of the responses:). Venezuela was my thought also. Sadly these guys will become to big and aggressive for my liking. Good news is my club has an auction this weekend:thumbsup:

Just an FYI that Fluval heater is not designed to be completly submersable.

looks like a big version of the two i had they where crenichla sp. venezula (BTW they get 14-20in. so its a tank buster alright mine was rather docile but when my GT tried to mess with him the fight was on although the pike ussally won) one got eaten then the other one got too curious and got stuck in the gravel vac and also died
