Hi :)

I am new to this group. I am the science teacher at Gallaudet School for the Deaf in St. Louis, MO.

Currently we have 1 freshwater aquarium, 1 firebelly toad habitat, 1 sudan plated lizard, 3 long tailed grass lizards, 1 african giant millipede, hermit crabs and a trantuala in the lab.

I am interested in starting a fish-only saltwater tank in the fall and I joined this group to help research the topic more before I make the big step.

nice to have you here. how big of an tank are you getting. are you going to get agresive fish or calm fish?

We have a 20 gallon freshwater aquarium with various tetras and guppies. There are also snails and ghost shrimp in the tank. We use it to grow the water plants that we use when we study the structure and function of plant cells.

I have a 10 gallon and a 21 gallon long in the classroom that are not being used right now. I am open to suggestions.

I have a 30 gallon that I will be using for my first saltwater tank (fish only).

Thanks :)

We have a 30 gallon tank that was donated to the classroom. I am planning to keep a peaceful tank.

We also have two tanks that are currently not being used (a 10 gallon and a 21 long). I'm open to suggestions (fresh, salt, brackish, reptile or amphibian) for a good use for these tanks.

Welcome to MFK! I think its great that you arrived here. Sound like you have a pretty cool classroom. The 30 gal salt tank I really can't help you with though cause I dont know much about it but I would be glad to help with anything else!

:welcome:

Salt water seems much fun.
I wish you the best.
I just hope you get some blennies and gobies.
They're my favorite.
Don't forget to post some pics setting it up,along the way, in the Saltwater/Brackish section.
