i recently got quite alot of them as they are sold as feeders here.
kept them in a tank and find that there will be some of them being eaten up by the next day.
i do feed them bloodworms and they accept it pretty well.
are they eating their own kind?
thought they are able to live in a community at a young age?

Although they are generally sociable when very small the bigest of the group will occasionally eat the smallest/weakest. It the "hardwired" predator in them.

they must be all of the same size, train them immediately to eat dead food,to avoid financial problems:D

giant snakehead will eat smaller fish even same species with it.. they are not community fish.. for me only 2 or 3 giant snakehead in one tank.. :) and don't forget train them feed on dead food..

haha. ok. i have reduced the no to around 5 cos they are still small. yup. they are taking frozen blood worms and prawns very well.
i dun tink its possible for me to send them over.
its pretty weird that they sell them as feeders over here while they are banned at other countries

COOL!!! i bought these snakehead feeders 2 years ago.. now i'm left with a very nasty looking 40cm C.micropeltes in my tank.. most of them were eaten up by the others and 2 jumped out and died.. i gave some 20cm long ones away too..
