New Midevil/FH....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like you go to the LFS and bring anything home and throw it in.
*No offense*
But it looks like a Jack Dempsey, a Managuense, and a small (sure to grow slow) African cichlid in there too.
What else is in this tank, what size is it??

Haha, if I brought something home every time I went to the LFS my wife would be my EX-WIFE. I definitely have an overstocked 110g and a couple smaller tanks 60g and 29g. I do have a managuense but the fish in the pic is a motaguense. The JD is leucistic, but you can't really see him. There is a red texas, a green texas, 2 conjags, a pure white FH, a RD, an odoe pike, some bichers, some catfish, some plecos, a polleni, a pike, some loaches, a severum, a puffer and an african. Two marineland C530s, a fluval 306, a 1600 GPH wavemaker, and a powerhead for filtration plus 80% water changes every 3-4 days. It's my tank, it's how I like it...I keep it clean, the fish are well fed and healthy....and obviously as they grow I will keep my favorites and hopefully add a few more tanks.

I thought I saw a Polleni or Bleekeri in one of the initial pics!!
You admit It's overcrowded....what will you do?

Edit: Sorry, I see you answered my question before I finished reading.
More tanks makes you sound like the rest of us MFK addicts lol.

Ya, if I had it my way I would have tanks from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, lol. Next place I live will have a room where my wife cannot visit...unless she is bringing me a fish as a gift for my future walls of water.

I tried to make the room ---my wife still found her way in and complained about all the fish tanks!

Here's something to think about when you decide to move out some of your stock. The advantage to having an overstocked tank is that there is very little aggression...because their focus is mainly on food or perhaps they find it too much work to fight off all the competition. From experience with my 150 gal, they become very territorial when there are fewer fish.

This is VERY TRUE...I knew overstocking helps with aggression when dealing with African cichlids and basically I do the same with my new world cichlids and it seems to create "Chaotic Order" but it keeps the peace.
