New minnow project

No kidding? That is an AMAZING price!
I'm sooooo checking it out. .good tip.
And I would do exactly what you are doing with your setup.

I got some minnows today, a load of moss, and floating plants; I had a look at riparium ideas, have you seen them? It's basically an aquarium without the land, but with plants above the water level, roots in the water; resembling a riverbank.

Looks a lot simpler than my original idea, especially considering I'm not keeping any reptiles or anything on the land part

Hi guys, new update on the minnows; I now have about 30ish mix of white cloud and gold minnows; due to an overeager pal in the lfs netting me far more than intended lol.

I managed to get a pothos plant, and some clear toothbrush holders that have suction cups, onto the side to hold the pothos. Drilling them to allow for extra water flow

The plants now include: salvinia natans floating plant, Java moss, anubias dwarf varieties, and some hydrocotyle tripartite 'japan'.

Still needs something bushier plantwise above the water I reckon, but since going the riparium route instead of paludarium, I need to consider the options.

More plants!

Added peace lilies, and some tradescantia; I'm doubtful it will survive but we will see.
