hey i just got 4 new monos 4 days ago (only 4 quid ea =p) atm they are about 2 and a half inches long . they are elready hapily eating pellets and bloodworms but ii was just wondering at wat size do they start showing their colours? and secondly i have them in a 100 gallon (uk) grow out tank and was wondering wat size they will need when they are fully grown?:):grinno:

Colors showed all of mines life.. I fed differently though... They showed the most drastic changes from 7-16 inches... The process was awesome!

For quite a while you can keep them in a 180 U.S. Full grown you will likely want over 300 U.S. Gallons.. But you still have a few years to decide a 6 foot L by 2 foot W will get you by for the first couple years.

Yeah I agree that 180ish would be a good minimum for 4 fish untill they are all at about 8-10 inches. a 210g would be ok for 2 fish up to about 12 inches, then anything over 12 inches no matter how many fish needs to be 300+ but pretty much everyone will tell you with pbass the bigger the better. For 4 fish a 600g would be killer, and it could possibly be a lifetime tank.
