i thought it was bad to rubberband their claws:confused:

It is? I was under the impression that was only for clipping..
They only use those for attacking things.
they use the front 2 pairs of 'normal' legs for feeding.

Regardless, he's only in there with bands until tomorrow morning when I pick up his special tank. :D

is it that pacus belly?

Procambarus clarkii are extremely aggressive. Probably why the claws were banded until the other tank is setup.... I've seen some around 8"...that's not including the claw. I was a cray addict a few years ago....down to owning 5 smaller clarkii and maybe a dozen "feeder" crayfish though. Have you ever owned crays/yabbies from the cherax genus? So much to choose from there.

Very nice cray by the way! Hopefully it will not end up in the pacus belly.:grinno: haha

never owned any different species.

I'd love to get one of the giant species though.

Not going in the pacu tank. :;)
