New Monster Tank Need Advice

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have just purchased a second hand 448 Gal tank I will be picking up next weekend, It's a L 10 x H 2 x W 3 with metal stand and 5 foot Wet/Dry filter.

I am so excited, The tank needs a little work,Cleaning mainly and I am going to spray the stand black.

I will be posting some pics as soon as it arrives, both before and after shots.

I was after some advice as to what filter media I should be running, It is the matrix style wet/dry with two compartments either side and the centre section is for the pump and heaters.

Should I run Matrix, Jap mat, Bio balls, Eheim media, Also what size pump should I be looking at getting for the return.

I was also thinking of running a FX5 just to help the load.

It will be home to a large Pacu,Peacock Bass,Arowana and a few cats.

I would do bio balls/pot scrubbies and ceramic media. Get the above water media and submerged media. That's what I am doing with my big tank. A trickle style bio camber and when I get the cash I am lining the bottom of the sump with ceramic.

Where can I get pot scrubbies from does anyone know where in Australia I can get them,and what material are they made from is it nylon ??

forget the pot scrubbies I would run bio balls and jap mat or if you could source it in your country Bio Home media.
