JUST PICKED THIS GUY UP TODAY. THE ORB I HAD ORDERED LAST WEEK (SUPPOSED TO BE HYSTRIX) HAD A FLESH EATING VIRUS AND DIED WITHIN 2 DAYS. THE MOTORO LOOKS HEALTHY, JUST A LITTLE SKINNY, AND IS PRETTY ACTIVE. I LOVE HIS LIGHT COLOR AND HOPE HE STAYS THIS WAY. BUT IM SURE HE WILL DARKEN AS TIME GOES ON. HE HAS A GOOD BIT OF SPOTS AND I THINK $140 WAS A GOOD DEAL FOR HIM. I WILL BE ORDERING ANOTHER NEXT PAY

IS THIS JUST A NORMAL MOTORO THAT HASNT DARKENED OR DO YOU THINK IT MAY BE A HYBRID OF SOME SORT? I HAVENT CAME ACROSS MANY PUPS THIS LIGHT AND THE SPOTS EVEN LOOK DIFFERENT

I'm not very well versed on ray hybrids but it doesn't look pure motoro to me aren't they're spots usually outlined with a darker color?

Or maybe its just a young pup that hasn't developed it yet, do you know how old it is?

I HAVE NO CLUE ON AGE. IT WAS A SPECIAL ORDER I DID FROM MY LFS. HE IS JUST A TAD OVER A 5" DISK

Oh wow I didn't realize at first but it looks like Leo x motoro hybrid pups that favored the lighter motoro base that the vendor Discus Origins had listed in February

Hi. It looks like a Peru Motoro although i am no expert on I.D.
What i do know though is that is one SKINNY ray. Get it eating lots and quick with lots of water changes. Try cut up nightcrawlwers mixed with pellets. Allow the cut up worms to marinade in the pellets for a few hours. Will hopefully start to put weight on. I had one like this years ago. Never really managed to get it eating, sadly it did not last long.

He is eating great on blood worms and krill. I will be adding chopped worms today. It's raining here in Ohio so finding them will be easy
