I just set up my first real native tank 37G, soon as the water clears I'll have pictures. I collected 6 blue gill and 1 pumpkinseed all about 3 1/2-4". I noticed that the majority of them appeared to have popeye and ich, but only noticed once I got them home. I was wondering how common this is when collecting fish, for them all to be sick that is? Also could this be a sign that the water quality of the lake could be doing poorly? On a good note I collected them yesterday and they are eatting like pigs already. fingers crossed all will heal up.

Thats way to many fish for a 37G.
yeah I know I planned on picking the best looking to keep in the tank and the rest go into my pond. Plus I'm running an AC40 and a marineland biowheel 40. I may not keep any of them in the tank in the end due to size, I'm hoping to collect some dartfish or a least some smaller fish next trip.

tank finally cleared and I got some pics. A few of the blue gill still have popeye but are perking up. Ignore the bland looking tank, plants and more wood will be aquired on the next trip.
