I haven't been on here in a long time due to my work schedule, but I had an our to kill today and decided to check out my LFS. There's usually nothing new in the way of oddballs. They've been sitting on the same gulper cat and peacock bass for ages. But they have some tanks in the back that they lease out to one of their employees and he often has something interesting. Well today, in the bottom corner tank with a couple sick discus and the light turned out I spotted a nice sized NTT. I asked one of the owners how much for the dat and he quickly quoted $39.99. I jumped on it. As he was netting it out, he said "Wow! He's a lot bigger than I thought. Your getting a good deal. I could have easily charged $80 for this one". When I got home, I measured the dat and it's just over 5". After selling all my STs last year it is so nice to be back in the dat business with my second favorite species. So was it a steal or just a good deal?

Lets look at this way,someone on here is selling thinbars of a smaller size and bigger price tag so you did pretty good on this one.
The purchase was made very spontaneously based on the price of the fish. I am merely curious if my excitement based on the price was warranted or if I am still as easily excited by a hot fish as I was when I was a teen.
I've been wanting to get back in the dat scene ever since I made the mistake of selling my last ST. I've just been waiting for an NTT to come along that was just the right size. And when I least expected it, there it was.
RE: pics. I took a couple with my phone when transferring the fish to the tank but they turned out really dark. I'll see if I can get some over the next couple of days.
Sweet deal. Only Tigers that come in cheap over here are CTs, ATs, and STs.
