I decided a little while ago to set up my first decent looking planted aquarium. So I went out today to buy the fish. I have a 10 gallon tank with all of the equipment and what not, I also have 4 green cabomba stems and 1 potted melon sword planted in it. There is also some wood in the tank which provides more hiding places.
I chose to buy 1 bristlenose pleco, 3 platies(1 male, 2 female), and a pair of Odessa barbs. I have done a bit of research on them in the past, never thought I would actually find them in a local pet store, and so I thought they would be happy in this tank since they sounded like a calm fish that likes a tank with quite a few plants.
I just want some tips and advice from anybody who reads this post and can give me some extra info on my odessa barbs. I will be moving them out of the 10 gallon once the mollies start breeding and multiplying.
Just trying to figure out if there is any downside to keeping this type of barb with platies and a pleco or if it is completely fine.
