A friend asked me to help them layout, setup and stock a new office tank.
Here are the things they would like
* 20 gal long it's for a table in the break room or something
* real plants, low maintenance
* a large group of small schooling fish, but my friend said absolutely no Harlequin Rasbor as she thinks they look bad
* dwarf shrimp "pretty" was writeen in bold and capitals with exclamation points
I thought I should ask here about where you think I should go with this tank for an office where I only know one person who can take care of a tank and they have never had a planted aquarium.
If it was my tank I'd forgo the dwarf shrimp and make a boraras maculata tank with A moss carpet and a few rocks and java ferns, but they want shrimp very badly and I don't know how well the rasboras wold do if I brought the PH up for the shrimp and I know the range suggested for rasboras on the site I saw 4.6-6.2 would be bad for the shells of most shrimp I know about. I don't want to build and stock an office tank not knowing what flora anf fauna are best for distracted beginners.
